Bone Dry Geuze Boon tasting notes
Bone Dry Gueuze Boon is a blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old lambics in a collaboration between Brewery Boon and Mikkeller. It shares a similar profile with the Black Label—they were blended from the same foeders but in different proportions. Pours clear amber colour, with a frothy long-lasting tawny head. Aroma is cider, green apples, wild yeast, red berries, bread, rowanberries, forest floor and apricot. Taste is very tart and bright, funky, but not overly so, fizzy, quite salty, great sourness. Medium lasting finish with no lots of lemon and classic geueze character. A well-balanced and both fruity and sour gueuze. This beer was brewed in Lembeek, the village that gives its name to the Lambic style.
