Delirium Tremens tasting notes
Delirium Tremens is a Belgian Strong Ale brewed with three different strains of yeast, first brewed by Huyghe in 1989. Its characteristic packaging ressembles an old cologne ceramic recipient and features a pink elephant in the label. It has a lot of yeast both in aroma and taste, with some malt and banana notes and a sweet and sour taste with yeasts, fruits and a dry champagne-like finish.
Belgian Strong Ale is a style that comprises from pale to bitter beers, with stronger yeast character than malt flavours, and higher alcohol than standard Belgian Ales. Colors tend to be light, and flavours smooth with some fruity and spicy notes.
