Gouden Carolus Cuvée van de Keizer Blaw tasting notes
Gouden Carolus Cuvée Van De Keizer Blaw Label by Het Anker is brewed every year on the 24th of February, the birthday date of Emperor Charles the Fifth. It has the same base as Gouden Carolus Classic, but with extra fine Belgian hops. It has a lot of roasted malts in the aromas with some alcohol and dark fruits. Taste has malts, a lot of sweetness and roastiness, hints of caramel and a sweet and slightly alcoholic finish.
Belgian Strong Ale is a style that comprises from pale to bitter beers, with stronger yeast character than malt flavours, and higher alcohol than standard Belgian Ales. Colors tend to be light, and flavours smooth with some fruity and spicy notes.
